The team at Tinnox was engaged to deliver LCD and LED display solutions for Brady Residential to replace their existing arrangement.
One main screen showcases videos from Brady Residential, whilst the other five will import property information from Brady’s listings on Domain.com.
This is automatically processed through Brady’s current software in real time.
For the entrance area of their office, Tinnox installed two ultra-fine 43” LCD displays attached to custom-made stands. The stands were bolted into the ground for maximum safety and security. After site inspections, we chose a brightness level 50% higher than the previous solution to ensure image clarity.
Instead of one large screen, we chose three separate screens for the first window installation to best fit the content’s current layout and format. Each screen measured 1800mm x 700mm and was designed for back maintenance to allow easy servicing and repairs. Tinnox recommended a pixel pitch of 2.5, one of the finest pixel pitches for indoor LED displays, so that image and text content can be displayed effectively. Brightness requirements are especially important for window displays because of ambient sunlight and mirror reflection. The screens boast twice the life span and six times the brightness of Brady Residential’s previous LCD displays. Additionally, we incorporated light sensor integration to allow brightness levels to adjust during night time to obtain visual comfort at all times.
Four main components differentiated Tinnox’s solution from Brady Residential’s previous display; the brightness level, screen size, display technology and viewing level and angle.
Tinnox chose a brightness level of 3000 nits to overcome high reflection and strong ambient sunlight. A light sensor was also integrated to allow the brightness level to adjust during night time to obtain visual comfort at all times. An LED screen measuring 2500mm x 1500mm was installed instead of an LCD display for better contrast ratio, refresh rate and lifespan. This P3 LED product also uses only one tenth of the energy generally consumed by LCD screens, and allows better serviceability than LCD displays. For better viewing angle for pedestrians, Tinnox suggested to eliminate the stand supporting the previous screen and to opt for a floor standing display instead.
